I think this is exactly why I made so much of an effort throughout my year at college to never, ever, spend any money. Unfortunately, this also means I haven't played many video game titles that have made their way to the market in the past year or so.
And speaking of video games, within an hour prior of posting this, my Xbox 360 killed itself for the second time. Fun stuff. At least M$ has a 3-year warranty for the dreaded RRoD, so I should be covered. M$ simply replaced the console the first time, meaning both boards I've used have only lasted about a year. That pretty pathetic.
At least now I'm glad that I let my membership revert to Silver status some time ago.
So yeah, things could have definitely gone better for me lately, but they could always be worse.
Here's a quick moment to spread my propaganda:
I'd highly suggest to everyone that you try and find a group of friends that you can play some pen-and-paper games with. You might hear me ramble on about Dungeons and Dragons every now and then, but there's a number of them out there. There's one based on Star Wars if you're so inclined.
Why bring this up now? Because the other day I had a scare that my desktop PC may have gotten fried. Had that actually been the case, I'd pretty much be without entertainment sources right now. But such is not the case if you have some PnP games to play. Because the bare minimum for these games is literally pen and paper. Or pencil, if you're like me and have to erase all the time.
PnP games are always good for hours of laughs with my friends and I, and they're especially helpful when the power is out. Besides, when the nuclear/zombie/robot apocalypse should happen, we all need something to fall back on.
Peace out y'all.

Hope you got Recon
